Monday - 3 things that I'm most grateful for in life

Its Monday blues again, right after work as I'm desperate to visit the loo, contemplating if this idea shared by my dearest baby Valerie Ooi, after she'd gotten the idea from a book she bought from Amcorp Mall, would work. She goes:
"Doing all these weekly routines will help you be a happier person..."
*with a porky face*
So yeah, I promised I'll try so here goes =)

3 things I'm grateful for

My New Job

It was just recently, that I had to prepare 3 copies of my CV and drag myself up on a Saturday morning to attend an invitation as one of the candidate for Aspire Graduan 2011 in KLCC, where in this event, top 300 tertiary education students will meet up with top employers to listen up on advises and experience and pose questions and so on. I was obviously not within the top 300 bracket, but was asked to attend on behalf of my the college in the absence of another student. So reluctantly, I attended the convention, which was followed by lunch and a walkthrough at the career fair downstairs.

So, yeah, I wasn't really aware of what it was all about and continued walking and it struck me that this is where people find potential employers by asking questions and then submitting their applications on the spot. I hurried by and submitted my CV for Dell and Sunway for consideration. Just a little about a week or 2 later, Sunway called up, I followed up and you know the flow. So here I am today, as a Software Engineer in the Lotus Notes Applications Development team, thinking back how so often I'd think that this is a real blessing in disguise and what would have happened if I reacted otherwise back then.

My Fat Cat, Maoh
This is my (now) fat kitty cat, Maoh (means King in Japanese by the way). We picked him up somewhere in front of my college So out of love, we 'kidnapped' him, brought him the the vet, got him a litter box, spent a little more to get better food for him and woah, he really grew =) I'm very grateful he turn out healthy (and fat), a faithful companion and accepted as our new family member. I feel sorry that we don't see him much nowadays, thus being lonely at home, but I feel really comforted to see him every morning or night when he comes and greet us like he always did . Love you Maoh, thank you for being such a wonderful furry pet.
I hope you enjoy having us as family too!

My dearest sweetie Val  *Muahx*|

For all the times that you made me eat my vegetables and vitamins, drive us around to all the nice places and good food and met good people through you, learn new things daily, shower me with hugs and kisses when I need them most, forgave me when I've done wrong and misses me every time of the day.

All the little things and the big things that you've done helped me grow a little bit more, showed me how much more life has to offer and how important birthdays really are and what they really meant. You held on to me even when I'm such an imperfect material, picked me up when I'm down and above all never once gave up on me. I'm very grateful for you darling and am very grateful that God sent you my way. Each and every day.

I ♥ U, Valerie~Always will!

While there are many other things in life which has made me the happier person I am today, I'd stop at 3 of the most recent ones I can think off first so I would have more to fill in for this blog in weeks to come. It really does sparks happiness to remember how these people (and animal) has made a difference, for the better. Love ya all!
